Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Beijing Auto Works B40 SportJeep
220408, Beijing Auto Show. Beijing Auto Works (BAW) surprised a lot of people at the show, usually it's a company that likes to stay out of the spotlight, now they were in big time.
Yesterday I posted about the civilian version of the 2036 and today it is time for another nice jeep, it is called the B40 SportJeep. More and more Chinese people have the money
to go out in the weekend and drive around the countryside in suv's. They even have 4x4 clubs now, a few years ago that was never heard of in China.
For the people who got bored with their Great Wall BAW now has this cool looking B40. Officially it is still a concept but it will run of the line within months. 4 wheel driven, 2.8 liter petrol 4 cilinder, 115kw and 217nm by 1250rpm. Top speed is a 145 kilometers an hour.
The BAW people at the show didn't know anything about the price but my guess is around 12.000 dollar.
