Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Guangzhou Automotive Coupe Cabriolet Concept

220408, Beijing Auto Show. Guangzhou Auto has joint ventures with Honda and Toyota, with Honda it produces the Accord and with Toyota the Camry, both cars compete with eachother on the market.

Such things are possible in China and the newest trent is that the Chinese partner starts building cars using it's own brand, such as Roewe from Shanghai Automotive.

Guangzhou has similar plans, it showed some wild concepts before but this time they brought a more worldly car called without much imagination the 'CC', Coupe Cabriolet.

And that's exactly what it is, it'll be om the market before the end of the year and compete head to head with that other Chinese CC, the BYD F8. That car is already in production but I haven't seen any around yet but it's almost summer now so who knows... Guangzhou has a few 4 cilinder engines of their own that'll fit in the CC or they might source an engine from either Honda or Toyota.
