Beijing Auto Show 2008 LIVE: Hafei Saibao V does it nicely with the girls
230408, Beijing Autoshow. Hafei Automobile brought a new sportsedan to the show, it's based on the Saibao V, Saibao means 'Running Leopard'.
Geely also had a Leopard, the Beauty Leopard. That 'soft' name was one of the reasons men never liked the little sportscar, it didn't help that Geely put badges which said 'fashionable' on the side of the car.
Hafei, which usually makes mianbaoche's, or breadvan's, likes it with cars too. They make the famous Lobo that is exported in lots to South America where for some reason they like it more than the Chinese like it, the ugly Saima and the normal Saibao sedan. See HERE for some pictures.
The Saibao doesn't sell well so Hafei decided to go for a sport version. Most manufacturers hire one girl to smile next to a new car on a show, some two. Not good enough for Hafei so they went for four.
It made it a bit harder to take a good photo from the car, I really didn't like that, not at all, no way. Here is it:
